In what could be his last game in a New England Patriots uniform, Tom Brady is not thinking about ‘nostalgia’ heading into Wild Card Weekend.

Does Tom Brady and the New England Patriots have it in them to make an epic playoff run that will undoubtedly cap off their two decades of dominance?

While the rest of the NFL hopes the answer to that question is no, Patriots fans and Brady lovers have hope that this team will once again put egg on naysayers faces for once again counting a Bill Belichick coached team out.

After losing to the Miami Dolphins in the regular-season finale, the Patriots have paved their own tough road to Super Bowl LIV by dropping to the No. 3 seed in the AFC.  What it means is the Patriots will play on Wild Card Weekend for the first time in a very long time.

When it comes to Tom Brady, the 42-year-old quarterback is coming off a below average statistical season and is faced with the harsh reality that this playoff run could be his last.  And if not his last in the NFL, certainly his last in a New England Patriots uniform, which is something he is not thinking about.

Like the Tom Brady we’ve all come to know over the past 20 seasons, his focus is solely on winning the next game.

"“I am not much for nostalgia,” Brady said during his weekly press conference, via Patriots.com.  “I am just pretty focused on what I need to do and this week has felt like pretty much every other week for the last 20 years.”"

With the entire team focused on the Tennessee Titans and doing what they need to do to stay alive in defending their Super Bowl championship, anything other than what Brady said above would be surprising.

Sure, in the back of his mind he has to be thinking about what his last playoff could be run.  And if he heard all the noise, which he claims he has locked out, then he knows his team has basically already been counted out.  Thus, some are counting on Saturday being Brady’s last in a Patriots’ uniform.

"“I haven’t turned a TV on,” Brady continued.  “It is probably not the best (thing) to do after we lose to turn the TV on and listen to all you guys’ shows and stuff like that.  There probably weren’t too many great things happening.  I tried to lay low this week.”"

That is somewhat believable.  It is believable that Brady and the New England Patriots are ignoring the noise, but not team responds to that noise better than this coach, this quarterback and this team.

The noise will certainly be used as motivation…especially by the 42-year-old quarterback named Tom Brady.
