Jack Edwards is getting some flack for his call of the latest Boston Bruins game, but there is no one I would rather have in the booth.

For a while now Jack Edwards has been the voice you have heard when you have tuned into the Boston Bruins. His electrifying and unique calls sure make the game of hockey even more entertaining than it already is.

But sadly the jealousy of the rest of the NHL is showing itself after Saturday’s game against the Tampa Bay Lightning. The internet is acting like Edwards’ job is easy to do.

There was a moment of chaos in what was a wild game. Zdeno Chara got cross-checked into the boards and he knocked the stick out of a Lightning defenders hands so high I thought it was out of Earth’s atmosphere.

Then after a breakaway chance from Nikita Kucherov play is stopped and the refs look to see if the Bruins scored a goal. While this is happening a scrum breaks out.

This was a classic NHL fight. Sean Kuraly even appeared to leave the bench to get involved in the action.

It’s a moment that you have to see to believe. Jack Edwards did a great job of describing the events.

Now you will notice a few things here. Edwards might have overestimated Chara’s ability going up against Pat Maroon. Both of these guys are giants but in this matchup, Maroon got the better of him.

But for some reason fans are mad at his overall call. They are saying he is biased towards the Bruins.

Does Edwards have a slight bias towards Boston? Yeah. Have you listened to any play by play guy? They always do. Scott Zolak is another great play by play guy and you can hear it in his voice that he would rather the Patriots win.

Also, you have to factor in that Edwards calls games for NESN. It’s not like he is calling national games for NBC Sports. Most likely if you are tuning in to the game you are a Bruins fan.
