Alex Verdugo

Life hasn’t exactly been easy for Alex Verdugo since coming to Boston. Being apart of the trade that sent Mookie Betts comes with the territory.

The fact that Verdugo was apart of the Betts trade adds a boatload of pressure. No matter what he will always be compared to him.

There are also Verdugo’s off the field issues. He comes with some baggage that makes it hard to like him.

If the season was underway maybe we could have grown accustomed to him, but with no baseball, we are left looking at Verdugo’s past failures. If Verdugo was ripping dingers and helping the Red Sox win he could have grown favor with the fans.

But now baseball fans are just left sitting and waiting. We really have no idea when any type of sports will be back. Life itself has become so unpredictable it’s hard to picture when sports will be back.

One day baseball will be back. It seems like there is hope that a season will be salvaged. Other sports like basketball and hockey might not be as lucky. So we will just have to wait and see when baseball comes back whether it is in a few months or an entire year.
