New England Revolution is 1st in Boston practicing with full squad

The New England Revolution are the 1st team in Massachusetts to practice with a full team.
Sports are back (sort of). The New England Revolution are the 1st team to practice with a full squad in the state of Massachusetts.
This is a big 1st step as we could see more and more teams return to practicing with their full squads soon. Players from the Boston Celtics and Boston Bruins have returned to their facilities but have to follow strict guidelines and can’t practice as a full team yet.

It’s a sign of hope to see the Revs back at Gillette Stadium. It shows that soon enough sports will be back.
When they do come back, games will look a little different. In basically every sports league including MLS, it is unlikely or already determined that fans will not be in the stands.
Also, like the NBA and NHL, the MLS is using a hub city to play all their games. The Revs along with the 25 other teams in MLS will be descending upon the city of Orlando to play a tournament similar to the World Cup to determine the champion for the 2020 season.
Reports show that teams would likely head down to Florida on June 21st. Then there would still be around a month of training before getting the tournament underway.
It will be interesting to see what the tournament looks like and how the regular season will factor into things. Teams were only able to play 2 games so it feels unfair to punish a team like the Revolution who got off to a rough start. They were without arguably their best player in Carles Gil.
The Revs could definitely go far in the tournament. They have a strong attacking front with Gustavo Bou and Adam Buska leading the charge. Also with Gil back you have a reliable midfield that is able to score.
The key factor for the Revs will be converting on chances. Early on in the season, they were able to create goal-scoring chances they just failed to convert. If this trend continues in the tournament, the Revs will be sent packing in quick fashion.
Now on the opposite end of the spectrum what if the Revs somehow end up winning the tournament? Would there be an asterisk associated with it? This would really be a bummer because it would be the Revs’ first championship since joining the league in 1996.
So sports are back and the New England Revolution are leading the way.
