The reveal of Tom Brady in a Tampa Bay Buccaneers uniform served New England Patriots fans with the reality that the star is gone.

As if it wasn’t already official, New England Patriots fans got a real dose of reality after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers revealed images of Tom Brady wearing No. 12 in a different uniform.

While the Patriots are in a state of flux at the quarterback position, it is hard on the eyes to see the man who led the team to six Super Bowl championships and has really been the face of a two-part dynasty model a different uniform.

Yes, fans have had months to adjust to the idea that Tom Brady will need a new attack in the NFC South, but the images below are still nauseating:

So, now it has gotten a little bit more real.  Of course, it will get even more real the first time Tom Brady throws a touchdown pass to Rob Gronkowski in a Buccaneers uniform, but its officially time to jump on the Jarrett Stidham train and just hope the Patriots ride to a better record than their 20-year franchise super star.

With reactions on social media from fans ranging from vomit emojis to crying memes, it is going to be a roller coaster ride of emotions in 2020 just seeing Brady leading a different team out to the field with that classic pump to the crowd shouting “let’s go.”

Of course, if Jarrett Stidham becomes the man and the New England Patriots are competing for AFC supremacy, Bill Belichick will quickly give fans the medicine they need to recover from the nausea.

At least we hope.

Tom Brady will put up big numbers in Tampa

Even at the age of 43 and learning a completely new offense after 19 seasons of leading the New England Patriots, Tom Brady should put up big offensive numbers with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

More from New England Patriots

Along with his boy Rob Gronkowski, the former New England Patriots quarterback has too many weapons at his disposal not to at least put up numbers like his NFC counterparts Drew Brees and Matt Ryan.

Speaking of Ryan, FS1’s Colin Cowherd sees Tom Brady doing exactly what the Atlanta Falcons quarterback did in his best season.

Here is his prediction, as transcribed by WEEI:

"“Tom Brady is going to succeed there, it’s just what do you think succeeding is?  I’ll make a prediction on this.  I mean, he’s going to inherit two great receivers, three capable tight ends.  They drafted a running back.  The offensive line was good, except right tackle, and I think they solved that.  So here are my predictions on the over/under for Tom: … I’m gonna go 10-6 as the win-loss record.  But, here’s what I’m gonna do on the stats: 28 TDs, 13 picks, they struggle a little in September, 64 percent completion percentage, passer rating 95.5.”"

That is a fair prediction given who he has to throw to.  Those numbers could be better depending how quickly he develops chemistry with stud receivers Mike Evans and Chris Goodwin, along with the tight end trio of Rob Gronkowski, O.J. Howard and Cameron Brate.

They could also be worse as having those kinds of targets could lure Tom Brady to force passes and make quick decisions he wouldn’t normally make.  New England Patriots saw that in 2019, although he did not nearly have the offensive fire power he now has wearing his new No. 12.

Yuck.
