Patrice Bergeron-Brad Marchand-Mark Recchi

This was a line combination that many will remember. This was Bergeron’s line when the Bruins won the Stanley Cup.

Bergeron had an amazing playoff performance. He had six goals and 14 assists with a personal rating of +15.

This line also featured a young Brad Marchand. It needs to be said that this Marchand wasn’t the goal scorer that we were used to seeing. This was Marchand’s first full season in the NHL. He had quite the postseason as well putting up 11 goals and 8 assists.

Of course, the story between Marchand and Bergeron keeps going. We will get back to that.

Then there was Mark Recchi. He brought the leadership and veteran knowledge that put Boston over the edge. He had already won two Stanley Cups prior to joining the Bruins.

This line gave Bergeron his first Stanley Cup. He then knew just how hard it was to get there and could use that experience to help lead other groups of players back to the promised land.
