Boston Bruins fans are witnessing a historic season from David Pastrnak but Brad Marchand is also putting together another amazing year for the B’s.

This season sure has been fun for Boston Bruins fans. The team is playing great and some players are scoring at a rate we haven’t seen before.

Now there is of course David Pastrnak who is setting records for the Bruins with his goal scoring. With 43 goals, Pasta is in the run for a Hart Trophy.

But there is another player who might be getting overlooked. Brad Marchand is having another great season for the B’s.

Last year was the year of Marchand. He tallied 100 points and was the best player on the ice for the Bruins.

This season Marchand is doing more of the same. He might not get 100 points but he sure is playing well. So far this season he has 24 goals and 53 assists.

Marchand took a while to get his scoring but he seems to always have an impact on the game. Even just by agitating opponents, he helps the Bruins out.

When you have a player like Pastrnak having a historic season it can be easy to forget about other players, but the Boston Bruins have been getting production from all over the ice. Besides Marchand, the Bruins are getting great play from Patrice Bergeron, Jake DeBrusk, Torey Krug, and Charlie Coyle.

The challenge for Marchand this season will be how he does in the postseason. It seems like Marchand forgets how to play hockey once we get into spring. With the Bruins seemingly all-in for a Stanley Cup, Marchand needs to keep producing.

So hopefully Marchand will continue to play well because his great performance has been overshadowed by David Pastrnak, but I think he doesn’t mind having the pressure off of him.
