Jake DeBrusk can not buy a goal

In a game where Boston won, there were still some glaring issues. One of these was Jake DeBrusk. If his issues continue, Boston could have some problems.

DeBrusk is having some issues scoring. He scored in the Bruins final round-robin game and it seemed as though it might have been the start of a great run. That is far from the case.

More from Boston Bruins

Once again DeBrusk went scoreless. He had 4 shots and some amazing chances to score but was unable to put the puck in the net.

The most glaring mistake from DeBrusk came when he had a wide-open net. He should have scored there is no other way to put it.

If DeBrusk is unable to find his scoring touch the Bruins could have some problems. David Krejci needs some help on the 2nd like. Ondrej Kase can’t do all the work.

DeBrusk needs to start scoring. He is a restricted free agent and he needs to prove he is worth making an investment in. DeBrusk has hinted at not taking a hometown discount but he might not even get that from the Bruins if he continues to struggle.

So hopefully we will see DeBrusk get some points on the board in Game Two.
