Tuukka Rask looks shaky in net

If the Bruins had lost, Tuukka Rask didn’t deserve complete blame, but he looked rather shaky in between the pipes.

Rask allowed two goals that were questionable, to say the least. Joel Edmundson blew a puck past Rask a little more than midway through the first period.

Now Edmunson shouldn’t have even been put in the position to score. The Bruins had a defensive breakdown that led to the goal scoring opportunity.

But it appeared that the puck squeezed past by Rask. Whether it be bad positioning or just not holding the puck tightly enough, you would like Rask to make that save.

Then there was the third goal scored by Carolina. Once again this was a slapshot from the point that Rask should be stopping. He is an elite goaltender and Boston should be able to rely on him to make big saves. If the Bruins continue to allow three goals a game they won’t win the Stanley Cup.

It will be interesting to see what the Bruins do in Game Two. I wouldn’t be surprised if Rask was put on the bench since Boston is playing back to back games.

Hopefully, this will wake up Rask and Bruins fans will see the goalie that we know and love.
