Cam Newton

There is no doubt that Cam Newton is the New England Patriots starting quarterback. It would be idiotic of the team to keep him on the bench, Cam gives the team hope and helps make them a contender.

Newton is such a dynamic player. He has a great arm but can also do some damage with his feet. This can mean points galore for fantasy teams who have Newton on their roster.

Now that Newton is in New England, it seems like he could have a great season. Josh McDaniels and Bill Belichick should help craft a perfect offense for Newton.  There should still be some designed runs for Newton but his throwing numbers could improve as well.

ESPN predicts that Newton will throw for 3,430 yards, 19 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. Again I think this is shorting Newton.  He will have 20 plus touchdowns and likely could even get closer to 25.

Also, Newton’s running ability will get him even more points. In total, he could likely get close to 300 points this season.

So if you need a quarterback midway through your draft, you can’t go wrong with selecting Newton.
