Cam Newton

All eyes will be on Cam Newton. He is replacing Tom Brady and will constantly be compared to him. That isn’t exactly fair, but it comes with the territory.

Newton will have a ton of pressure on him and the best way to alleviate that is by getting off to a good start. He has a good chance to do so going up against Miami in Week One.

More from New England Patriots

The Dolphins defense doesn’t exactly instill fear. One of their best players is former Patriot Kyle Van Noy and it’s unknown how he will do after leaving New England.

Newton could have a big game. Even if the offensive line struggles, Newton will be able to break out and gain some yards on the ground.

Fans should expect a win in Week One. The Patriots are determined to show that they can win without Brady. Newton and the rest of the offensive will want to prove a point even more.

If Newton does struggle the pressure will only build. Patriots fans will be quick to say that Jarrett Stidham should take over.

So Newton is definitley a player that Pats fans should watch. Fans will either be cheering his name or begging for Stidham to get his chance as a starter.
