N’Keal Harry

It’s hard being a member of the N’Keal Harry fan club. One play he can look great and the next he can look like he doesn’t belong. This was once again demonstrated in Week 1.

Harry didn’t necessarily have a bad game. His five receptions were tied with Julian Edelman for most on the team. The problem is that Harry could have done much more. He even could have had his first touchdown.

Newton made a great pass off his back foot to Harry who had plenty of open field ahead of him. Catching the ball at the seven-yard line, all Harry had to do was beat his man to the end zone.

That didn’t happen.

Harry flailed his arms trying to extend the ball into the endzone but ended up fumbling the ball.  It went out of bounds in the endzone giving the Dolphins possession.

If Harry had scored or just simply kept possession of the ball. New England would have had a 21-3 lead entering the fourth quarter. The game would have been put beyond reach.

Harry needs to be smarter with the ball. If he doesn’t, Harry could find himself in Belichick’s dog house.

So expect to see a better performance from Harry in Week 2.
