These 5 Seattle Seahawks players present a problem for the New England Patriots in the Week 2 Sunday night showdown.

Coming off an impressive 38-25 Week 1 victory over the Atlanta Falcons, the Seattle Seahawks present both a big challenge and a big opportunity for the New England Patriots in Week 2 of the NFL season.

On both sides of the ball, the Patriots will have to be prepared to play against a tough team led by a quarterback in Russell Wilson who is playing at the top of his game.

Defensively, Bill Belichick has to not only prepare his team against the scrambling ability or Wilson, but also have to limit what he can do passing the ball to offensive weapons like D.K. Metcalf, Chris Carson, Tyler Lockett and veteran tight end Greg Olsen.

Offensively, the focus will be on creativity as Pete Carroll has had success limiting Cam Newton in the past.  There is no way the Seahawks will allow Newton to run all over them, so what will Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels do to counter that?

Going up against defensive players like linebacker Bobby Wagner and safety Jamal Adams, the short passing game will be key.  The New England Patriots will have to utilize their strength and that will be their versatile running backs, particularly James White and Rex Burkhead and they will have to find a way to get production from the tight end position.

The Falcons did have some success against the Seahawks defense, so pushing the ball down the field might be the way McDaniels and the Patriots’ offense mixes things up against the Seahawks.

Still, it will be a challenge because of the talent Pete Carroll has on both sides of the ball.  Here are five players who present a big problem for the New England Patriots in this Week 2 inter-conference showdown.
