Kyle Dugger

Another defensive player who had a great game for the Patriots was rookie Kyle Dugger. The safety made a name for himself and seems to be etching out a permanent role for himself.

Dugger had six tackles on the night and saw an increase in his snaps. That should signal that the Patriots like what they have seen from the rookie.

In Week 1, Dugger was only on the field for eight defensive snaps. In Week 2 that number skyrocketed to 34.

If Dugger continues to play so much you have to wonder what his role could look like. Next season he could be a starter even if Patrick Chung returns.

So as you can see a lot of Patriots saw their stocks rise in Week 2 even though they lost. They have a chance to do that again in Week 3.

The Patriots go up against the Las Vegas Raiders which is a game that they should be winning. Newton and the offense could have a big game.
