New England Patriots: 5 Kansas City Chiefs to fear in AFC battle
Frank Clark is another force to be reckoned with
The Kansas City Chiefs are paying both Chris Jones and defensive end Frank Clark the big bucks for a reason.
With most of the star power on the offensive side of the football, the Chiefs have two studs on their defensive line who can cause all kinds of problems for a New England Patriots offensive line that is already moving players around due to the injury of center David Andrews.

With both Isaiah Wynn and Shaq Mason also showing up on the injury list, the health of that offensive line is going to be key in this game. With a player like Frank Clark coming off the edge, Cam Newton’s ability to escape the pocket and create plays with his feet could be a valuable asset.
Again, the Chiefs did a good job with Lamar Jackson in their Week 3 Monday night showdown with the Baltimore Ravens so they will be prepared and ready for whatever Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels has drawn up to try to keep the Chiefs’ defense off balance.
Speaking to the media on Thursday, Bill Belichick highlighted how both Chris Jones and Frank Clark can disrupt any team offensively.
"“Well, they’re both very disruptive players and it’s hard to 100 percent count on where they’re going to be,” Belichick said, via Patriots.com. “Spags [Steve Spagnuolo] moved them around some last year – well, Jones, in particular – and we’ll just have to see how they do that. I mean, it was situational. Sometimes, you can have an idea where he’s going to be, but they change their front.”"
In all, Belichick knows his team has to be ready for multiple looks on from that Kansas City Chiefs defense. Like Jones, a force like Frank Clark could set the tone early if he is disruptive along that defensive line.
