New England will not make the playoffs. They probably won’t even come in second in their own division. This team is not just bad, they are awful. It’s hard for Patriots fans to even watch their favorite players at this point.
The problem for the Patriots is that they are not one of the worst teams in the NFL. It’s hard to picture New England getting a top-five pick in the upcoming draft. This likely means that they won’t be able to draft the franchise changing quarterback that they desire.
But there are somethings that the Patriots have to do. They need to get younger and they need to acquire some assets so they can start rebuilding their organization.
In order to do this New England will have to get rid of some players. These will likely be players entering their prime or that only have a few years left before they start to decline. The Patriots will have to get worse before they get better.
So who will New England get rid of? These are the three players that the Patriots should get rid of before the trade deadline.
