Sony Michel

Now, this might seem surprising but the Patriots need to move from Sony Michel. That has not been clearer. They might as well get something in return for the former first-round pick.

Michel has been the definition of a bust. He has failed to rack up yards at a consistent pace and struggled to reach the end zone.

So far this season, Michel has only appeared in three games before ending up on Injured Reserve. They haven’t been great performances either. (besides his performance in Week 3 against the Raiders)

Really ever since his rookie year things have been bad for Michel. It seems as though he could use a fresh start with a new team.

Once again it is highly unlikely that New England gets a first-round pick for Michel, but they should be able to get a mid-round pick that the Patriots could package in order to make a big splash.

The Patriots have Damien Harris who has performed rather well with Michel on the IR. He should be a capable starting running back for New England.

So this is the sad state of the Patriots in 2020. They have to sell off as much of their players that they can in order to start thinking about being a contender again.

It will be interesting to see what moves New England does end up making. Hopefully, they make the smart decision and start acquiring some assets so they can adequately prepare for the future.
