New England Patriots: 3 players who have massively underperformed in 2020
By Sam Minton
The New England Patriots are having a disappointing season and these three players have been underperforming so far in 2020.
2020 can only be described as a disaster for the New England Patriots. No one could have imagined that they would be playing this poorly.
New England is coming off a 33-6 defeat to the San Franciso 49ers. They are now 2-4 and if it wasn’t for the disaster that is the New York Jets, they would be at the bottom of the AFC East.

Life after Tom Brady has been absolutely horrible for fans. It’s clear that the Patriots dynasty is over. This team will not be winning a Super Bowl for a rather long time.
This wasn’t necessarily the dominant sentiment heading into the season. Fans were led to believe that Jarrett Stidham would save the day and that the defense would be one of the best in the NFL. Julian Edelman had his chance to prove he didn’t need Brady.
Then New England decided to go out and sign Cam Newton. The Patriots replaced a former NFL MVP with a… former NFL MVP. There is no way that New England could be bad with Newton at quarterback.
But that is where we are. The Patriots are forced to look in the mirror and realize that they are not contenders. If anything they need to start selling players.
How did New England get to this point? Well, these three players underperforming is definitely one of the reasons the Patriots have played so poorly this season.
