New England Patriots whose stock dropped in Week 11- No. 2: Rex Burkhead

So far in 2020, Rex Burkhead was one of the more useful players on New England’s roster. He was a quality weapon in both the running and passing game.

But now the Patriots will be without Burkhead. He appeared to have injured his ACL and is likely out for the rest of the 2020 season. Things just keep getting worse for New England in 2020.

2020 was another solid year for Burkhead. He had nearly 300 rushing yards and three touchdowns while also having 25 receptions.

Thankfully the Patriots have witnessed Damien Harris come out of his shell and show his potential. It appears that the Patriots have a new feature back.

Also, Sony Michel will be returning soon, so he will be able to replace Burkhead’s carries. After a rough start to the season, hopefully Michel will be able to end the season on a high note.

But with Burkhead missing the rest of 2020 his stock will be dropping. He will be 31 years old heading into 2021 and that is when things start getting bad for running backs.

So things aren’t exactly great for Burkhead after Week 11 and it will be interesting to see what his role with New England is moving forward.
