Boston Celtics: 3 players to be thankful for in 2020 – No.2: Jaylen Brown

Next on the list is a player that we know and love. Celtics fans are very happy that Jaylen Brown is in Boston.

When Brown was first drafted, fans didn’t exactly know what to expect. They were even angry with the selection of Brown early in the draft. It’s safe to say that Danny Ainge made the right move.

More from Boston Celtics

Brown has been great for the Celtics. In 2020 he really showed what he is capable of. Brown averaged 20.3 points and 6.4 rebounds a game. He should’ve been an All-Star but he was snubbed. He spent the rest of 2020 showing his critics that they made a mistake.

While being known for his explosiveness and ability to get to the rim, we have seen Brown improve as a shooter. When some of the C’s stars are struggling, he is able to lift everyone up.

Also off the court, Brown is a great addition to the team. Like Smart, he is a leader off the court. Brown and Smart would probably be described as the captains in the locker room. When they talk, everyone listens.

But Brown also wants to make an impact in his community. Off the court, he has worked on various social justice and charitable efforts.

Celtics fans are lucky that they get to cheer for Brown. Hopefully, he is able to spend his entire career in Boston.
