Boston Celtics: Christmas wish list for every player on 2020-21 roster
A Christmas wish list for every Boston Celtics player on the 2020-21 NBA roster.
The Boston Celtics begin their season with a win on Wednesday. With such a short offseason and a quick turnaround into this season, it’ll be interesting to see what happens with each player on the 2020-21 roster. Along with an expectation for the team, each player has an expectation, or wish, for himself this season.
Here is a Christmas wish list for each player on the team. All of these wishes apply to each specific player as the entire team has one joint wish, to win the NBA Championship.
The Boston Celtics rookie class
Aaron Nesmith: Nesmith was selected 14th overall in the 2020 NBA Draft and one of two rookies on this roster.

He has a lot to prove as he is going into this season as the best shooter in this rookie class. Nesmith should prove to be a great guard and forward off the bench. Some analysts say he should have been picked higher in the draft due to his abilities as a spot up shooter. Nesmith will be considered a great bench option for Brad Stevens.
His one Christmas wish would have to be proof that he is worth the lottery selection and should’ve been picked higher during this draft.
Payton Pritchard: Pritchard started the preseason off with some great games. Every time he gets on the court, we can see this rookie produce with a barrage of points and assists. He also showed stints of stellar defense while on the court.
Pritchard has potential to be a future starter and go to man for the Boston Celtics.
His unbelievable play within this preseason is said to be a fluke of rookie energy, but it is highly likely we see this energy proceed into the NBA regular season.
Pritchard’s Christmas wish is that his preseason performances applies to the regular season, and that he is worth this “hype” generated in the preseason.
