Keith Yandle appears to be on the move and while it would go against the Boston Bruins youth movement, the B’s should try to acquire him.

While the Boston Bruins have started their season off with a bang, they can always improve. Strengthening the blue line with Keith Yandle would make a lot of sense.

The fact that the Bruins would be able to acquire a player like Yandle seems far fetched, but he has seemed to fall out of favor down in Florida.

Reports down in the Sunshine State say that it’s possible that Yandle doesn’t even see the ice.

Last season Yandle was able to rack 45 points in the shortened season.

Yandle is amazing at moving the puck and could help Boston score a lot of goals. He is also someone that can be relied upon to defend in Boston’s zone.

Now the defenseman has a no-movement clause but according to Andy Strickland, Yandle would want to come to Boston.

This makes a lot of sense seeing that Yandle is from the area. He would join Charlie Coyle, and Chris Wagner, as well as the other hometown heroes.

Now obviously this would go against the so-called youth movement that Boston is going for, but the Bruins would instantly become contenders. They would be the best team in the NHL. Boston would have a strong group on the blue line and one of the best lines in the entire NHL.

There’s also the fact that the Bruins would have to absorb a lot of cap space. With the re-signings, they had in the offseason along with the upcoming expansion draft, Boston would have a challenge on their hands.

But Yandle is worth the investment, especially seeing that the Bruins might not have to spend a lot of money to acquire him.
