Charlie Coyle has been just what the Boston Bruins have needed this season.

The Boston Bruins have gotten production from the usual suspects of David Pastrnak, Patrice Bergeron, and Brad Marchand, but they have also gotten some help from the bottom six with Charlie Coyle leading the way.

This has been a great season for Coyle not only on the stat sheet but how he has played. So far Coyle has 16 goals and 19 assists this season.

But you can just see by how Coyle is playing that he is doing well. He is skating hard and isn’t afraid to stand in front of the net and get physical. Still, Coyle has some skill as well.

You couldn’t ask more of Coyle. He has even stepped up to the 2nd line when injuries have forced him to do so.

A lot of the credit goes to the 1st line but there are so many unsung heroes on the Bruins roster. One of them being Coyle.

It looks like Charlie has found a home in Boston (he did grow up in Weymouth). The Bruins signed him to an extension before the season so he won’t be leaving anytime soon. At this point, I think Coyle will spend the rest of his career in Boston. It just seems like a perfect fit.

If Coyle can continue to play like this he will be an integral part of Boston’s playoff push. You can’t just rely on David Pastrnak and Brad Marchand to do all the scoring. Coyle definitely wouldn’t mind lifting the Stanley Cup in front of his friends and family.

dark. Next. Assessing where B's stand post-trade deadline

But this season I have been really impressed by the play of Charlie Coyle and the many other unsung heroes of the Boston Bruins. They might not get a ton of credit but without them, the B’s wouldn’t be on top of the Eastern Conference.
