Boston Bruins: 3 reasons why fans should be nervous – No.1: Jake DeBrusk isn’t showing up

While Jake DeBrusk seems to be a quality up and coming star, he simply isn’t doing enough. Bruce Cassidy seems to finally be fed up seeing that DeBrusk was a healthy scratch for Tuesday’s game.

DeBrusk can be a goal scorer but he’s rather streaky. Also this season his effort has been a problem. There can be times where DeBrusk is just meandering his way around the ice during his shifts.

So far this season, DeBrusk only has a goal and four assists. That simply isn’t good enough for a player like DeBrusk. If he doesn’t start performing he could be on his way out.

Boston is having players such as Ritchie, Trent Frederic, and Jack Studnicka that are exceeding expectations. That’s why Cassidy was able to prove a point by having DeBrusk as a healthy scratch.

DeBrusk’s name has been mentioned in trade talks before and now it will only heat up even more. With how he is playing, this might be the first time that Boston seriously considers moving on from DeBrusk.

So DeBrusk needs to play better or the Bruins will have to ship him out.
