Boston Celtics impact trades: Aaron Gordon

Okay, Aaron Gordon may not be the Orlando Magic star that first comes to mind when it comes to a possible blockbuster deal, but the versatility he would add definitely would make the Boston Celtics better, which is why the team has shown interest in the young forward as recently reported by The Ringer.

More from Chowder and Champions

As an athletic forward who could knock it down from behind the stripe, Gordon’s versatility on both ends of the court is prime for the Celtics and he is also someone they could get without giving up too much.

Just 25 years old, Gordon is in his sixth season but still has tremendous upside.  Could he find that magic with Boston (no pun intended Orlando fans).

While Harrison Barnes would also be a nice fit, the fact that Gordon is younger should entice Ainge.  He is averaging just 14.7 points per game, but that 38-point performance against the Nets a week ago should widen the eyes of Celtics fans as Brooklyn is a team they will have to overcome in the East.

Not saying Aaron Gordon is the savior, but his length and athleticism certainly would make the Celtics an even more versatile and deeper team even with who they would have to give up in obtaining him.

If the deal is there, Ainge has to pull the trigger especially if the price is affordable.
