After throwing for over 300 yards against the New York Jets in Week 7, Mac Jones has struggled a bit the last couple of weeks but has done enough to help his team come out victorious against the Los Angeles Chargers and Carolina Panthers.

As was the expected blueprint heading into the season, the rookie out of Alabama has benefited from a power running game and good defense. He has also benefited playing against teams that didn’t have great offenses, so the mistakes he has made hasn’t hurt the team.

In going up against a Browns team that can put up some points, Week 10 could be a game in which Jones really breaks out. That is, if he isn’t killed by Browns’ defensive ends Myles Garrett and Jadeveon Clowney.  But, as long as the pass protection is there, Jones should be able to lead the team up and down the field through the air and perhaps a couple of plays down the field that will get the Patriots’ offense rolling.

With Damien Harris out, there will be more emphasis on the short passing attack. As the Patriots rookie quarterback has shown all season, he needs to be accurate, efficient and take the check downs that are given to him.

With that, New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels will draw up unique screens and short passes to the tight ends and running backs, but it will all be a set up for Jones going over the top and down the field on the Browns.

In all, expect Mac Jones to have one of his best offensive performances. He is certainly due for one.
