3 Things the Patriots Should Add to their Christmas Wishlist
Wish 2: An Improved Offensive Line
Look, Santa is a miracle worker, but asking for a whole new line might be too much. Certainly, we know center David Andrews got hurt in Week 4 and was ruled out for the year.
However, outside of Andrews, you could argue everyone is replaceable.
Pro Football Network ranked every offensive line through this season and the Patriots were ranked dead last. 32nd.
Currently, 29th in pressure rate and 28th in sack rate. Again, this needs to change.
What is the true formula for how to ruin a young quarterback? Just look at the 2024 Patriots. No true top wide receiver and an offensive line that ranks last in the league can do the trick!
This upcoming offseason is perhaps the most important one over the last 25 years for the Patriots. For a team with the most cap space in the league, a ton of needs across the field, and a future franchise quarterback, this offseason is crucial.
Whether the Krafts opt to make a change at head coach, one thing is certain. New England needs to have a strong offseason and fixing the offensive line is an absolute priority.
Adding to the injury mix is Cole Strange, who could be back this week, but getting Strange and Andrews back is not the solution. Both are valuable pieces, but the unit needs a retool and some fresh faces. Hence, why it is on the 2024 Christmas list!
