2. Josh McDaniels, (former) HC, Raiders

We've got to take the low-hanging fruit here, even if this is cheating a little bit. I don't think any former Patriot has failed more miserably with a different team in 2023 than Josh McDaniels, who was fired in-season by Mark Davis and the Raiders.

To say McDaniels has embarrassed himself would be a massive understatement. This is now the second time he's been fired in-season by a team as their head coach. Previously, McDaniels disgraced the Denver Broncos and embarrassed the late Hall of Fame owner Pat Bowlen. McDaniels was fired by the Broncos for a number of reasons, but the straw that broke the camel's back was the fact that McDaniels's staff was caught filming the 49ers' walkthrough at a game in London.

They were smoking stogies in the locker room after beating the hapless New York Giants, but they weren't celebrating a win over a bad team as much as they were celebrating the Wicked Witch of the West being gone.

I think at this point, it's proven that McDaniels simply doesn't work anywhere outside of under Bill Belichick.
