4. Bailey Zappe, Quarterback

It feels like it's only a matter of time for Bailey Zappe at this point. The New England Patriots have obviously moved on, and Zappe is sort of just spinning his wheels being with this team during OTAs.

The former fourth-round pick out of Western Kentucky has actually started eight games over the last two years for the Patriots and has had some decent performances mixed in there. It hasn't led to any long-term commitment from the Pats, however, as New England went out and added three new quarterbacks this offseason.

They signed veteran Jacoby Brissett back to come in and hold down the fort for first-round pick Drake Maye, the third overall pick in this year's draft. Then the Patriots added one of the most intriguing physical talents at the position in this year's draft with Tennessee's Joe Milton coming in as a sixth-round pick.

Again, the writing seems to be on the wall for Bailey Zappe, and there should be teams out there willing to actually trade for him despite the fact that his situation is pretty obvious. Zappe has to use training camp, joint practices, and preseason games as his "audition" for the 31 other teams, or whatever number of teams will actually be looking for an upgrade at the QB2 position.
