The New England Patriots have experienced a lot of overturn this offseason. It began back in January when they handed over the reins to Jerod Mayo.

The Pats are heading into a rebuilding phase with an abundance of young and unproven players on the roster. New England drafted Drake Maye and Joe Milton in the 2024 NFL Draft after they signed Jacoby Brissett in free agency.

They are currently carrying four quarterbacks and head coach Jerod Mayo doesn't expect that to change anytime soon.

Patriots News: Pats Plan to Carry All Four QBs Into Training Camp

When speaking with reporters Mayo made it known that New England will have all four QBs on the roster when training camp rolls around in late July.

The Pats currently have Brissett, Maye, Milton, and Bailey Zappe on the roster, taking snaps in the practice.

It's a bit surprising that New England will want to keep all four QBs on the roster instead of parting ways with one. Especially with how Zappe has struggled in minicamp thus far.

Meanwhile, Maye was just lighting it up on the practice field. You've figured that New England would want to roll with Brissett, Maye, Milton, and ship out Zappe but that doesn't sound like the case just yet.

It's very unlikely that New England carries all four QBs into the year. This could be a way to get the best out of your quarterbacks in practice with the constant battles between these four guys.

The way things are trending, Zappe may be on his way out of New England but he now has a chance to flip the script.

If all four guys produce in training camp, they may be able to get a draft asset for one of them, with the Western Kentucky product being the most likely one to be dealt.
