Final Prediction

One of Miami coach Dan Campbell’s successes so far has been taking the collar off a defensive front that was born to terrorize quarterbacks by scrapping ex-defensive coordinator Kevin Coyle’s “read and react” formula and reducing the number of defensive plays.

Sure, this seemed to be a revelation against the Titans, but the Patriots, as we saw last week against New York, have proven that even with a depleted offensive line, they can game-plan their way around just about anyone.  So far, the Patriots have out-schemed the Steelers, the Cowboys, the Bills, and the Jets, all of whom feature coaching staff that almost anyone would call some of the best defensive minds in the business.  T

he Patriots have scored the second-most points in the NFL, playing against these teams (and Jacksonville and that Indianapolis team). Guess the point for this week’s preview is “Who Can Stop Them?”

Belichick can.

Final Score Prediction:  New England – 35, Miami – 24.
