No.1 – Julian Edelman

Julian Edelman is no Randy Moss, but No. 11 has a heart bigger than anyone on this list.  The fact that this guy was a quarterback in college and transcended into one of the top receivers in the NFL puts him at No. 1 on this list.

Up until a couple of seasons ago, Edelman would’ve maybe would’ve came in at No. 3 only behind Wes Welker and Moss, but his connection with Brady has surpassed Welker.

More from New England Patriots

The guts, the shiftiness and the tenacity he displays every minute of every game he plays is the portrait of a player willing to do whatever it takes to win.

On the field, the chemistry Brady and Edelman has is undeniable.  Propelled by an off the field bromance, that chemistry helped bring two Super Bowls to New England.  Edelman was the ignition to comeback wins in both Super Bowl XLIX and LI.

In fact, without Edelman, the Patriots may not have even gotten to Super Bowl LI.  With Rob Gronkowski out for the season, the man with the nickname “Minitron” really stepped up as Brady’s main target.  His veteran leadership and determination to get every yard possible on the field demonstrated his importance to the Patriots’ offense and to Tom Brady.

Overall, Julian Edelman doesn’t have as many touchdown receptions from Brady as the others do with just 24, but it’s the way he keeps the chains moving that makes him Brady’s top receiver.

It is also hard to deny the special relationship the two have.
