With the Boston Bruins out of the playoffs, the team released it’s injury report and proved once again that hockey players are some of the toughest people in the world.

Well it’s that time of year again. When us average Joes see just how amazing hockey players are. The Boston Bruins gave us a peek into what their players were dealing with this postseason.

I may be out of commission for a week just looking at what some of these guys were playing with.

A lot of these reports cause a light bulb to go off in your head. No wonder Riley Nash was struggling. He was coming off a concussion. It also looks like Big Z’s struggles on defense may be due to him nursing an upper-body injury.

More from Boston Bruins

Once again hockey players are absolute warriors. I wouldn’t be able to play a game of NHL on PS4 with these injuries never mind an actual hockey game.

Also it looks like at least one Bruin will be headed to the operating room.

Once again this explains a lot. The Bruins fourth line was a fail safe for this team the entire season, but in the postseason they were M.I.A.

Say it ain’t so Marchy?

One of the other interesting tidbits that came from break up day was from the licking legend, Brad Marchand. Marchy seems to be kind of disappointed in himself.

Hey Brad that’s why Bruins fans love you. I don’t know how a player who got to the NHL by being an agitator can just cut that out of his game. Marchand has tried to be a “straight-edge” player and his production seems to drop. He should focus on eliminating the dirty hits and not his agitating antics.

Finally the Chowder and Champions team is wishing a speedy recovery to David Backes. The veteran winger is dealing with a concussion and seems to still be feeling the harsh effects.

Concussions are nothing to mess around with, and with Backes history of head injuries he has to think about life after hockey. In the last 4 years Backes has had 3 concussions.

The pain threshold of hockey players cannot be comprehended. These guys put it all on the line to try and help their team win. Now the Boston Bruins will rest up for the summer and hopefully be back and better than ever next season.
