The New England Patriots are having lots of fun as of late
By Sam Minton
The New England Patriots have gotten the reputation of being an organization that is putting in work every hour of the day. It appears that the Patriots may be trying to change that perception with the recent string of fun events.
A lot of people have talked about how the New England Patriots run their organization. Players on the outside looking in said how dreadful and tiring it must be to be a member of the Patriots. Well it sure seems like the Patriots are trying to change that.
It started on Monday. The Patriots took a field trip to Fenway Park with the Red Sox out on the road. They played cornhole and other team bonding activities. Not a bad way to spend your Monday. Still it appeared as this was a momentary break as the Patriots had practices scheduled for the rest of the week.
Then on Tuesday while talking with the media Robert Kraft announced that Bill Belichick had canceled the rest of the team’s practices. Does Belichick have an evil twin cause surely this can’t be the work of Mr. “No Days Off.”

It seems that the Patriots may want to change their perception around the league.
The Patriots reputation has taken a hit as of recently. There was the entire offseason “feud “between Tom Brady and Bill Belichick. Rob Gronkowski was giving weird press conferences, and now there is the Julian Edelman suspension. Then you add in the comments of players like Lane Johnson and Cassius Marsh and realize it may affect how upcoming free agents view the team.
So maybe the Patriots are having some fun to show upcoming free agents, ‘hey it’s fun to be in New England.’ I guess for some players winning Super Bowl’s isn’t enough.
