Sony Michel will win Rookie of the Year

The New England Patriots boosted their running game by drafting Sony Michel in the first round of the 2018 draft. Michel was a beast while at Georgia and has a chance to win the starting job.

Michel is a dual-threat running back. He is dangerous in the running and passing game. He seems to be a perfect fit for the Patriots offense.

In his senior year, Michel had over 1200 yards rushing and 16 touchdowns. With Michel joining the best organization in the NFL, you can only expect him to get better.

I think the Julian Edelman suspension may end up helping out Michel. With Edelman out the pass-heavy Patriots offense will have to be more balanced. If Michel gets a shot as the starter he could quickly become a great running back.

Once Michel makes it to the second level it is hard to bring him down. He has some amazing speed and is able to make quick cuts. That is a recipe to rack up some yards and touchdowns.

The Patriots may have found a diamond in the rough by taking Michel.
