Boston Bruins: Anders Bjork will bounce back this season
By Sam Minton
Boston Bruins left winger Anders Bjork didn’t have the rookie year he was expecting. This upcoming season will be his opportunity to show fans what he can do in a full season.
Anders Bjork season was over before it really began. The Boston Bruins winger played in only 30 games in his rookie year. Bjork had some bright moments but will look to show fans that he can perform well for a full season when he laces up his skates in October.
In his first season in the NHL, Bjork racked up 4 goals and 8 assists. Not bad for a rookie, but the Bruins will be expecting more from Bjork.
The most important thing for Bjork is staying healthy. If he can stay healthy we will get to see a full season’s worth of scoring. Hopefully, that will be more than 12 points.

The Bruins are loaded with prospects so Bjork will need to prove he is one of the best. He needs to play much more consistently, especially in the offensive zone. The Bruins need all the help they can get in that department.
Where will Bjork slide in?
It will be interesting to see where the Bruins end up playing Bjork. He spent some time on the second line, but it may be difficult for him to stay there if the Bruins make some moves.
If the Bruins make a mover for a goal scorer it would mean that Bjork would become a bottom-six forward. Jake DeBrusk had a fantastic rookie season. I don’t see the Bruins moving him down anytime soon.
Now Bjork being on a bottom line isn’t the end of the world. He would make the lines more balanced, and I think he would be able to have a Danton Heinen like season. He would be the main scorer for the bottom-six.
Even if the Bruins don’t make a move it would still be difficult to see Bjork on the second line. Either Debrusk or Bjork would be playing out of their natural position.

Boston Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy has some tough decisions to make. The B’s have a ton of talented prospects, but not a ton of room on the NHL roster. We will have to wait until the fall to see what the Bruins decide to do.
