Kawhi Leonard was traded to the Toronto Raptors early Wednesday morning. Leonard is handling the move poorly, and proving that he wouldn’t fit in with the Boston Celtics.

The NBA world is in awe after ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Kawhi Leonard would be heading up north to play for the Toronto Raptors. The move is earth-shattering for multiple reasons, but what isn’t earth-shattering is Leonard’s reaction to being traded, which proves once again that Leonard would never fit in with the Boston Celtics.

It appears that Leonard is continuing to be a diva and may not even suit up next season.

This is why I am glad Leonard is not in Boston. Leonard’s asking price was way too steep. The Raptors had to give up DeMar DeRozan to land Leonard. Imagine what they were asking the Celtics to give up.

Also Leonard’s attitude is just awful. He will probably just sit out another season and wait to go to LA. That’s the only team he apparently wants to play for. Even if the Celtics made a trade for him there is a chance he doesn’t even play.

Celtics head coach Brad Stevens has built a great culture in Boston. Players are unselfish and giving their all for their teammates.

Leonard seems too concerned with what’s good for him. Usually this isn’t necessarily a bad thing. If you are a free agent and don’t want to take a hometown discount go ahead, get paid. What Leonard has done and continues to do is completely different.

He doesn’t care about his teammates. He just wants to play in LA. His main concern seemed to be getting out of San Antonio, and now that he is, he still isn’t happy.

Kawhi Leonard would have never fit in with the Celtics. He may be one of the best players in the NBA, but he has one of the worst attitudes in the league as well.
