The New England Patriots have been critiqued for their perceived lack of fun, but this year, players seem to be having a blast.

The New England Patriots are already proving the doubters wrong. Lane Johnson and Cassius Marsh want you to think that fun is illegal in Foxboro, but that definitely isn’t the case.

It all started when Bill Belichick canceled the rest of OTA’s and took the Patriots on a field trip to Fenway Park. Now Belichick is letting players have fun with rookie offensive lineman Isaiah Wynn.

The Patriots had their season ticket holder practice on Monday night inside Gillette Stadium. It’s a great opportunity for season ticket holders to see how some of the new acquisitions are fitting in and also see their favorite players.

Wynn probably shot up their rankings. At the end of practice, Wynn went back to receive punts, something you don’t expect a rookie offensive lineman to do. If Wynn could catch the punt, the Patriots would have two curfew free nights, the pressure was on.

Ryan Allen rocketed a punt to Wynn and he looked like he had a great chance of catching it, but sadly the rookie was unable to bring it down. Bill Belichick probably cracked a smile.

Wynn pleaded for a second chance, something Belichick isn’t really a fan of, but Bill must have been having a good day because he gave the rookie another shot.

Party time in Foxboro

Allen once again sent a bomb Wynn’s way and this time the rookie didn’t disappoint. He caught the ball as the Gillette crowd erupted. Wynn’s teammates were ecstatic as the team now had two curfew free nights.

After all the commotion that was made about the Patriots churning out robots, this brings a smile to your face. These guys are having a blast in New England. Also it gives me reassurance for this season.

Even though the Patriots lost a lot of players, they should make it back to the Super Bowl.  This year’s team seems like a tight-knit group.

Next. Adding Eric Decker now makes sense. dark

So don’t let the Lane Johnson’s and Cassius Marsh’s of the world tell you it is awful to be a member of the New England Patriots, because it is the best job in the world.
