J.C. Jackson

J.C. Jackson has come out of nowhere and is looking to be a major part of the New England Patriots secondary. Jackson was signed as an undrafted free agent and has something to prove to all the teams who passed on him.

More from New England Patriots

Jackson had a solid junior year as he had 40 tackles, 3 interceptions, and a fumble recovery. The corner decided to leave school early, but the risk didn’t pay off as he went undrafted (or did it).

We all remember how poorly the Patriots secondary played the last time we saw them. They are one of the Patriots weak links entering the season.

Stephon Gilmore is the clear No.1 corner, but after that, it is going to be a battle.

Jackson has an opportunity to get some serious playing time. It will be interesting to see if he can keep up with opposing receivers, and how well he is in coverage.

The Patriots may make another undrafted rookie the backbone of their secondary.
