Thursday night will be a big game for a lot of New England Patriots. This may be some guys last shot to play in the NFL. So even though you won’t be seeing the stars here is some things to watch for in the preseason finale.

Finally, we are just a week away from playing some meaningful football. The New England Patriots play their final game of the preseason on Thursday.

Now we won’t be seeing Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski playing a ton, but this game is still very important. This game could be the start or end of a player’s NFL dreams.

The 4th preseason game is arguably the most important for the bubble players. It is sink or swim. After Thursday there is nothing that can be done. The decisions will be left to the Patriots coaches and management.

So even though the stars won’t be playing, here are three things to watch in the Patriots preseason finale.

The Secondary

The New England Patriots secondary hasn’t been that consistent. Some games they can look like one of the best in the league, and then sometimes they look like they couldn’t tackle a high school wideout.

Thursday will definitely be important for Keion Crossen, and J.C. Jackson. They will need to prove that they belong on the final roster.

Crossen and Jackson need to prove that they can tackle well in the open field, and also do well in coverage as well. Crossen and Jackson have been studs at practice, but they will need to prove on Thursday they can perform well in a game.

Hopefully, we will see one of these guys get an interception, and prove that they will be in New England for the year.
