With an amazing performance on Thursday night, JC Jackson earned himself a roster spot. Jackson will look to be another undrafted player to find success with the New England Patriots.

The New England Patriots may have found another undrafted star. JC Jackson had a phenomenal performance in the Patriots preseason finale and will surely be on the team’s final roster.

Jackson had a game for the ages. He may have given up a 41-yard touchdown early on in the game, but Jackson definitely made up for his mistake. Jackson had 2 tackles, 4 passes defended and 2 great interceptions.

Bill Belichick has done it again. This is just another undrafted free agent that could play a pivotal role for the Patriots this season.

More from Chowder and Champions

The Patriots have had their issues in the secondary. At times it seems like the Patriots corners are incapable of tackling and keeping up with receivers. Jackson seems to be serviceable doing both.

After such a great performance I think Jackson is poised to become a star. It seems that undrafted corners are successful in New England.

The Patriots aren’t deep at corner either. After Stephon Gilmore and Eric Rowe, there is no clear standout. Jason McCourty hasn’t performed so well since coming to New England. The veteran played in week 4 of the preseason for the first time since his rookie season.

It would definitely be awkward if the Patriots ended up cutting Devin McCourty’s twin, but then again there have been plenty of Gronkowski’s who haven’t lasted in New England.

I think that Jackson could have a major role this season. He has the talent, but can he continue to perform at a high level when he’s playing against some starters? A few missed tackles or errors in coverage and Jackson may find himself glued to the bench.

Next. Contrary to popular belief Rob Gronkowski is good. dark

JC Jackson may become another undrafted free agent that rises from the ashes, or he could become a player we soon forget.
