All the pressure rest on Trent Brown’s shoulders

The biggest man on the field will have the heaviest weight on his shoulder.

Tom Brady has had players like Matt Light and Nate Solder protecting his blind side for his entire career, but he has never had a man as large as Trent Brown doing so.  At 6-foot-8, 380 pounds, the Patriots new left tackle is a mammoth presence on the field.  With that size, he has also shown he has the skills to be a dominant factor along the offensive line.

Patriots offensive line coach Dante Scarnecchia sees a lot of potential in Brown.

"“As you can see, he has some dynamic skills, and he’s working hard to be a really good player on every down,” Scarnecchia said, via ESPN.  “I think that’s something that’s been encouraging as we’ve gone.”"

If Trent Brown continues to work hard, fans will appreciate his size and ability.  If he shows an inability to keep the 41-year-old franchise quarterback off his back, fans will certainly let him know.  That will be the biggest challenge for Brown.

Does he have the mental toughness to continue working hard when things aren’t going well?

He has a coaching staff and is playing in an environment where he won’t be allowed to give up too quickly.  He also has a quarterback who will hold him accountable, but also give him praise during low and high points.
