After another poor effort from the New England Patriots, it seems like this could be Tom Brady’s last season.

Folks sound the alarm. The New England Patriots were supposed to have a comeback effort and dominate the Detroit Lions. That didn’t happen.

The New England Patriots looked horrible on Sunday night. The offense couldn’t get going at all and the defense made Matt Stafford look like a top 5 quarterback, but something else stood out.

Tom Brady didn’t have a great game. Now again after a loss, Brady and the Patriots are supposed to dominate. This is when they show why they are the best team in the NFL. Now since that didn’t happen I’m rather concerned.

More from Chowder and Champions

Some things definitely stood out in regards to Brady’s play.

First off he didn’t play well. Brady was 14/26 with 133 yards a touchdown and an interception. Those are numbers I expect Colt McCoy to put up, not the greatest quarterback of all time.

Now even though Brady was passionate on the sidelines he seemed to almost give up near the end of the game. There was no reason for him to throw that deep ball that ended up being an interception.

Also, the intentional grounding was terrible. I have no idea who Brady was throwing that ball to. Plays like those are momentum killers.

All of this makes it seem like this could be Brady’s last season. This may seem like an overreaction, but Brady seems fed up. The Patriots have surrounded Brady with zero talent. We saw Rob Gronkowski get completely taken out for the game for the 2nd week in a row. Even when Julian Edelman comes back, the Patriots offense still may struggle.

Next. All eyes on the status of Josh Gordon. dark

So Patriots fans should be slightly nervous because this could be the last time we see Tom Brady in a New England Patriots uniform. The dark days may be coming sooner than we all thought.
