2. Need to take advantage of opportunities in red zone

The Patriots haven’t had the best of luck once they get close to the end zone. Tom Brady is more succesful running the ball than any of the running backs.

More from New England Patriots

If the Patriots want to win they need to execute near the goal line. Sony Michel has blossomed into a great back. He knows how to make defenders miss and runs the ball with authority.

But when Michel gets close to the end zone, Michel just forgets how to run. He gets close but seems incapable of scoring on those 1-yard dives.

Seeing that Michel can run guys over it’s surprising that he struggles in this aspect of the game. So if the Patriots want to win he needs to score.

Sunday is bound to be a shootout. The Patriots can’t rely on field goals to win the game. If the Patriots leave any points on the board they will probably leave Gillette Stadium with another loss on their record.

But if Michel and the Patriots can execute in the red zone they have a good chance to walk away with the victory.
