2. A killer front seven

The New England Patriots defense didn’t have the best performance in Week 6. They gave up 40 points but were successful in containing Patrick Mahomes and Tyreek Hill in the first half.

More from New England Patriots

The Patriots aren’t racking up the sacks (they are actually last in the NFL), but they are causing tons of pressure. On nearly every play Adrian Clayborn or Trey Flowers is getting by their man. Just by causing pressure they are causing QB’s to get rid of the ball.

This is part of the reason that the Patriots are ranked 7th in the NFL in interceptions. The pressure caused by the front 7 is forcing opposing quarterbacks to throw risky passes.

On Sunday I expect to see plenty of blitzes and I wouldn’t be surprised to see a couple of turnovers. Hopefully the Patriots will be able to get a few more sacks as well.

The Patriots defense should ensure that New England wins this game.
