Charlie McAvoy seems to improve in nearly every game he plays. The Boston Bruins defensemen is definitely becoming a star.

Charlie McAvoy proved last season that he is here to stay. The Boston Bruins defensemen continued to light up the stat sheet and led the Bruins defense in the playoffs. This season McAvoy is continuing to prove that he is going to be an amazing player.

McAvoy is the 5th in scoring with 1 goal and 5 assists. With Torey Krug once again out, McAvoy has been forced to take over the power play, and be the main scoring defenseman. He has done a great job.

I would love for McAvoy to score some more goals, but with the talent on the first line, I am not mad at him for looking for the open man.

McAvoy’s only goal of the season was pretty impressive. He got the puck off of a faceoff and rifled a puck past Jonathan Bernier.

I expect McAvoy’s scoring to improve as the season progresses. He was injured two times last season and I think November could be a big month for him. He will have a good feel for the game and when Torey Krug comes back the entire Bruins roster should get better.

McAvoy has all the tools to become a star in the NHL. He is a two-way defenseman who can create highlights by blasting a shot into the net or lighting up an opposing player. With a few more good seasons McAvoy could be a top five defensemen in the league.

The only thing you could complain about is his defense, and that’s more because of his performance in the Bruins last game against the Edmonton Oilers. McAvoy took a bad angle and allowed an opposing player to blow right by him. If McAvoy can become better in his own zone he will be basically a perfect player.

I also like to see McAvoy being a leader on the team. He has gotten into a few shoving matches and isn’t allowing any shenanigans to happen near his goaltender.

Charlie McAvoy is having a good start to the season and will hopefully lead the Bruins in scoring once again.
