New England Patriots: 3 takeaways from dominant Week 9 win
By Sam Minton
The New England Patriots defeated the Green Bay Packers 34-17 on Sunday night and looked like the top team in the NFL.
The New England Patriots played exactly as we expected them to in Week 9. After a disappointing performance in Buffalo, The Patriots were dominant in their 34-17 victory over the Green Bay Packers.
It was a battle of the “two G.O.A.T.’s” (at least according to NBC), and as Patriots fans expected Tom Brady came out on top.
Now there were some hiccups along the way. The Patriots defense made some mistakes but overall looked pretty great. Especially since they were facing such a great quarterback. Holding Aaron Rodgers and the Packers to 17 points isn’t that bad.

After the disappointing win in Week 8 fans were also worried about the Patriots run game. Cordarrelle Patterson was your leading rusher (that is not ideal).
Now Patterson was the Patriots leading rusher once again, but we will dive in later about the differences in his performance in Week 9.
Going forward Patriots fans should be excited. They look like they will be the team coming out of the AFC. They are getting better and better each week.
The Patriots are now a week away from their bye week and face the Tennessee Titans in Week 10. So let’s focus on this week and look at my 3 takeaways from the New England Patriots great effort on Sunday Night Football in Week 9.
