Boston Bruins: 3 takeaways from terrific win over Toronto
By Sam Minton
The Boston Bruins played some great hockey on Saturday night. Hopefully, they can maintain momentum as they are right back at it on Sunday.
It’s always a good day when the Boston Bruins are victorious.
The B’s have been struggling as of late. Their goaltending has deteriorated and they have been forced to rely on their 1st line.
On Saturday the Bruins got back to their winning ways defeating the Toronto Maple Leafs 5-1. The B’s got plenty of scoring (even though it was mostly from one line).

After such a horrible performance on Thursday night, Saturday’s game was very refreshing, but let’s get right into it and talk about the 3 takeaways from the Bruins great victory on Saturday night.
1. Mr, Reliable
It seems like no matter what, the Bruins can rely on Patrice Bergeron. If the B’s need a big play, Bergeron is usually right in the middle of it.
Bergeron snagged his 9th goal of the season and showed off his hockey I.Q. He managed to get in good position in front of the goaltender and was able to redirect a David Pastrnak shot into the net.
The most impressive thing about Bergeron is his consistency. It seems ever year Bergeron is putting up quality numbers. The Bruins assistant captain currently leads the NHL in points.
There’s a reason that Bergeron will have his number retired whenever he decides to call it quits. He is one of the most impressive players to put on a Bruins jersey.
