1. Hockey is soft

I never thought I would ever say those words, but the game of hockey is getting soft. Brad Marchand was once again on the receiving end of a horrible call.

More from Boston Bruins

Marchand lightly and I mean LIGHTLY tapped Dallas Stars goaltender Ben Bishop on the pads and you would have thought that Marchand hit Bishop with a pipe.

Bishop did his best acting job and Marchand headed to the box. As you could expect Marchy wasn’t happy so he ended up getting a slashing penalty along with a 10-minute misconduct. I was stunned to see Bishop in between the pipes in the 3rd period. It was a heroic effort by him.

This may go down as the worst call in the history of sports. Hockey is softer than soccer at this point.

The only positive of this is that we got to see Marchand chirp the Dallas fans and continually ask them ” how much did you pay to watch me?”

Never change Brad Marchand. Please never change.
