Boston Bruins player outlook 2018: Brad Marchand will take charge once again

Brad Marchand has become one of the best wingers in the NHL today. The Boston Bruins should expect another great season this year.

Brad Marchand is hated all across North America except for one place, New England. Some would call Marchand a rat, and a dirty player. Some would call him an elite goal scorer and their favorite player. The Boston Bruins winger is looking to have yet another great season this year.

Marchand continues to put up great numbers. For the second season in a row, Marchand put up 85 points. He showed off his amazing stick-handling and speed, while also sharing the puck and racking up a career high in assists (51).

The only thing you can be mad at is Marchand’s discipline. At this point, I have penciled Marchand in for at least a five-game suspension every season. Last season he had a questionable elbow when playing against the New Jersey Devils which caused him to miss some time.

If Marchand could not get suspended it would be much appreciated. He always plays on the edge and it seems to fuel his game. Imagine the numbers Marchand could put up if he plays a whole season.

This season Marchand will be looking to improve and maintain the first lines status of being the most dominant line in the NHL.

Prediction time

I don’t think Marchand will have a down year. He is in the prime of his career.

I believe Marchand will increase his scoring output while finally reaching 90 points. My prediction is that he will score 40 goals and 50 assists.

If Marchand is able to play a full season and not have any discipline problems, he has a chance to win the Hart Trophy. He could finally prove to all his haters that he is one of the best goal scorers in the league.
